How the generators work

Choose a tool from the directory, adjust the visible controls and wait for the preview to update. A ready preview enables the download buttons. The file is made in your browser rather than by a remote generation service.

One layout, several file formats

The generators describe a page using dimensions in millimetres. That layout supplies the Canvas preview, SVG artwork and PDF. Lettering is converted into outlines from locally served font files so that the downloaded sheet does not depend on fonts installed on another computer.

Outlined letters remain vector artwork, but they are not selectable, searchable PDF text. The HTML guide and visible controls provide text information about the sheet. A printable drawing is not a replacement for an accessible electronic textbook.

Choosing an export

PDF is the practical starting point for printing. SVG is useful when you need vector artwork for a compatible editor. PNG creates a raster image at the chosen resolution. Larger PNG settings use more memory; a very large page at a high resolution can be refused while vector downloads remain available.

Work that prepares fonts and exports runs in a browser worker. A Cancel export button is available during an export. Your browser still needs memory to display the preview and hold the result, so a worker does not make the task free of resource limits.

Warnings are part of the tool

A requested ruler or shape may be too large for the selected paper. Unsupported text may not be available in the selected font. In those cases, read the warning and change the relevant setting. The generator should not quietly shrink a measured template or discard letters to make a file appear successful.

The previews are scaled to fit the screen. A small preview is not a change to the file's physical dimensions. See the printing guide for the separate print dialog settings that can change scale.

Your input stays local

Names and practice text are used in the browser and are not sent to a generation API. The page and font assets must still be downloaded from the website, and normal hosting requests may be logged by the hosting service. Read the privacy explanation for the distinction.
