1/4 Inch Dot Grid Paper
Print a quarter inch dot grid with four dot intervals per inch. It is a useful starting pattern for imperial planning notes and informal sketches.
Understanding the layout
The preset spacing is 6.35 mm. Count the spaces between dots when marking a distance. A line from the first to the fifth dot spans four intervals, or one inch. You can use the grid for a different drawing scale, but write that interpretation beside the sketch so it is not confused with the paper’s physical interval.
Using the sheet
Start with the preset when its dimensions match the task, then change only the settings you actually need. The parent generator linked below explains the wider choice of layouts. Keeping a note of your final settings makes it easier to create another matching sheet later.
Choosing the settings
Select the paper that is physically loaded in your printer. Download the PDF for a dimensioned print and choose Actual size or 100%, rather than Fit. The on screen preview is reduced to fit the browser and is not an actual size measurement. SVG keeps editable vector outlines; PNG is useful when an image file is required.
A practical example
Keep the initial spacing and choose Letter paper. Download the SVG. Draw a box four intervals wide and eight high to plan a one by two inch area.
Before you print
Browser zoom does not preserve actual screen size. Measure a full size print rather than holding an object against the on screen preview.

Yes. It is a starting configuration, not a locked image. Inspect the updated preview and any fit warning before exporting.
