A4 Cornell Notes
Print Cornell notes on A4 paper with separate cue, notes and summary areas. The preset selects the sheet size while leaving the study layout proportions and ruling adjustable.
Understanding the layout
The cue and summary percentages are measured inside the margins. Changing the paper size changes their physical dimensions without removing their separate roles. Use cues as prompts and keep the summary distinct from a continuation of the main notes. A4 is 210 by 297 mm, so a Letter printer setting can change the intended print.
Using the sheet
Start with the preset when its dimensions match the task, then change only the settings you actually need. The parent generator linked below explains the wider choice of layouts. Keeping a note of your final settings makes it easier to create another matching sheet later.
Choosing the settings
Select the paper that is physically loaded in your printer. Download the PDF for a dimensioned print and choose Actual size or 100%, rather than Fit. The on screen preview is reduced to fit the browser and is not an actual size measurement. SVG keeps editable vector outlines; PNG is useful when an image file is required.
A practical example
Keep A4 and the starting 28% cue and 22% summary proportions. Download the PDF. Record one topic, then add review prompts and a brief summary in their respective areas.
