Perspective Grid Generator
Generate a perspective construction grid with one, two or three vanishing points. Use it as a drawing background for objects and scenes whose parallel edges need to converge rather than remain parallel on the page.
Understanding the layout
In one point construction, one main set of receding directions converges toward a point on the horizon. Two point construction uses two horizontal vanishing directions, and a third point adds convergence for the remaining direction. The horizon is an eye level reference, not necessarily the top of the ground or the edge of a building. Vanishing points can lie outside the drawing frame; their guide rays are still useful inside it.
Using the sheet
Choose the viewpoint before drawing the object. Sketch a simple box first and keep its corresponding edges aligned with the same vanishing point. Build details only after the main form reads correctly. A perspective grid is a guide to consistent direction, not a reason to trace every line. Leave construction marks light and emphasize the final visible edges with your own pencil or ink.
Choosing the settings
Type changes the number of vanishing points. Horizon and vanishing point position controls let you adjust the construction deliberately, including points outside the frame. Positions are expressed relative to the usable drawing area. Close vanishing points create stronger convergence; use a wider separation for a less exaggerated construction.
A practical example
Choose Two point, Horizon height from top 38%, First vanishing point X -35% and Second vanishing point X 135%. Download an SVG. Both points lie outside opposite sides of the frame on the same horizon. Draw a box whose left and right receding edges follow the corresponding ray families.
Before you print
The generator does not reconstruct camera perspective from a photograph or solve a measured architectural projection. Its grid helps draw consistent directions. It does not establish exact real world dimensions or automatically position objects.

Common question
Do vanishing points have to be inside the page?
No. They often lie outside the drawing frame. The relevant portions of their construction rays are clipped to the printable area.
