Printable Periodic Table

Print a periodic table reference showing element numbers, symbols and names. The layout keeps each of the 118 included elements in a distinct position, with the lower series separated for a compact printable arrangement.

Understanding the layout

Atomic number identifies an element by its proton count. The symbol is its abbreviated identifier, while the name supplies the full label. These are different from atomic weight, which is not included in this simplified printable. The separate lower rows make the table more compact; they do not mean those elements fall outside the numbered sequence.

Using the sheet

Use the sheet to locate an element and connect its name, symbol and atomic number. For a classroom activity, ask learners to find a numbered sequence or compare positions across rows and columns. Keep any additional properties in a separate verified reference rather than writing guessed values into the blank spaces. A larger paper format is useful when labels need to be read from farther away.

Choosing the settings

Paper size and orientation change the space available to the table; landscape is the starting arrangement. Element labels selects Numbers, symbols and names, Numbers and symbols, or a Blank practice table. All modes retain the same positions. The detached series have range placeholders in the main table. Small paper is rejected when it cannot provide readable cells.

Choose A4 landscape and Numbers, symbols and names. Download the PDF. Find hydrogen at 1, oganesson at 118 and helium at the far right of the first row. Compare labels with the linked IUPAC source. Choose Blank practice table to print the same arrangement without element labels.
