Graph & math paper
Specialty Graph Paper
Choose a specialist plotting or pattern grid without treating every uncommon layout as ordinary square paper. This collection includes ternary plots, a Smith chart, a Wulff stereonet, radar guides and several repeating construction patterns.
Understanding the layout
These layouts have different meanings. A ternary plot represents three components constrained by a constant total. A Smith chart uses a reflection coefficient transformation rather than ordinary Cartesian impedance axes. A Wulff net is an equal angle stereographic construction, not an equal area net. Radar grids arrange several axes around a center. The brick, diamond, cross, circle and octagonal options are visual construction patterns rather than scientific coordinate systems.
Using the sheet
Choose the Type that matches the method you are using before changing any other setting. Write the quantity, units and convention beside a scientific plot. For pattern paper, mark the repeating unit you intend to copy and ignore partial shapes at the boundary. Do not transfer points between two specialty types just because their previews both contain circles or diagonals; their coordinates may represent entirely different quantities.
Choosing the settings
Ternary divisions set the subdivision count along each side. Radar spokes set the number of radial axes, with ring divisions controlling the radial levels. Pattern spacing appears only for layouts where it has a clear physical meaning. The Smith and Wulff constructions use their own mathematical geometry rather than an arbitrary square spacing control.
A practical example
Choose Ternary plot with ten divisions per side. The interior guides should form three families parallel to the triangle sides, with nine lines in each family. Download the SVG and mark a composition that sums to your chosen total. Label the three vertices before placing any data.
Before you print
The tool generates blank references, not scientific analysis. It does not validate compositions, solve impedance matching or interpret geological measurements. These uses require the appropriate method and independent checks.

Common question
Can I use a Wulff net as an equal area net?
No. The projections preserve different properties. This option is explicitly the equal angle stereographic construction.
