Geometric Shape Template
Print a clean square, circle, equilateral triangle or regular hexagon at a chosen dimension. Use it for geometry demonstrations and tracing while checking exactly what the dimension control means for the selected shape.
Understanding the layout
For the polygon options, Dimension is the side length. For a circle, it is the diameter. The overall width of a polygon can therefore differ from the entered side length. An equilateral triangle with a 40 mm side has a height of about 34.64 mm, while a regular hexagon with a 40 mm side extends farther across its opposite vertices. The distinction is important when a template must fit inside a physical space.
Using the sheet
Choose the shape needed for the exercise and label the relevant sides or angles after printing. Combine separate templates to explore tiling or compare perimeter and area. For a craft, trace a verified print and add any allowance required by the material or construction method. Do not assume a paper outline contains a cutting offset merely because it is dimensioned.
Choosing the settings
Shape chooses the geometric construction. Dimension (mm) sets its side length or diameter according to the displayed guidance. Paper size and orientation must provide enough room for the full shape. The preview is fitted to the screen, so use the exported dimensions and a measured print rather than the apparent browser size.
A practical example
Choose Square and enter 40 mm. Download an SVG. The four sides should each be 40 mm and the corners should be right angles. Print at 100%, measure two adjacent sides and use the sheet to compare a square with another shape generated at the same side length.
Before you print
The generator does not create arbitrary polygons, cutting allowances or manufacturing instructions. A printed template is not a calibrated physical standard. Verify its size before precision use.

Common question
Does 40 mm mean the same thing for every option?
It means polygon side length for the square, triangle and hexagon, but circle diameter for the circle. Read the control note before printing.
