30 cm Printable Ruler
Generate a thirty centimetre ruler at its real 300 mm length. The larger starting page avoids silently reducing a ruler that is longer than the usable edge of common A4 or Letter paper.
Understanding the layout
The centimetre scale must be read in the selected metric units. Thirty centimetres is 300 mm, which exceeds A4’s 297 mm long edge even before printable margins. Landscape Tabloid provides room for the continuous ruler and its labeling. A scale drawing or a resized screenshot is not an equivalent replacement for this physical reference.
Using the sheet
Start with the preset when its dimensions match the task, then change only the settings you actually need. The parent generator linked below explains the wider choice of layouts. Keeping a note of your final settings makes it easier to create another matching sheet later.
Choosing the settings
Select the paper that is physically loaded in your printer. Download the PDF for a dimensioned print and choose Actual size or 100%, rather than Fit. The on screen preview is reduced to fit the browser and is not an actual size measurement. SVG keeps editable vector outlines; PNG is useful when an image file is required.
A practical example
Keep the starting large paper and 30 cm length. Download the PDF, print at Actual size and compare a 10 cm section with a trusted ruler before checking the whole scale.
Before you print
A paper ruler can bend or be cut inaccurately. It is not a precision calibrated instrument and must not be used for safety critical measurements.

Can I change this preset before downloading?
Yes. It is a starting configuration, not a locked image. Inspect the updated preview and any fit warning before exporting.
